Encaustic painting is a simple process that produces impressive results with luminous and jewel- like surfaces and textures. Heated Wax can be fused and melted to create luscious layers for collage of paper, fabric and dried organic materials. The surfaces can be rough and sculptural or smooth and shiny.  You will learn safe studio practices, surface prep, fusing, creating smooth as well as textured surfaces, working with paper and photographs and transfers.

Limit: 6 students        FULL
