All Skill Levels

This workshop is for artists who are new to encaustic or have already got their hands into the wax.

Encaustic is a luminous medium that is made up of molten beeswax, pigment and dammar resin. Once an ancient process, it is now updated with new tools and equipment. The process produces impressive results with jewel- like surfaces and textures.
We will cover safe studio practices, melting and fusing, line and edge, working with paper, photography and texture. The participant will be supplied with a small practice panel (4x6”) for each technique on which to practice. I supply the equipment, paint, medium, brushes and tools.

Once you've registered I will contact you with an optional materials list.
